Tail-less wonder

So, the first time Mom saw this guy she thought it was a rabbit ... with abnormally small ears. :) It took many looks, a lot of talking back and forth, and a rather long time to agree that it IS actually a squirrel ... without a tail. He kind of stumbles around when jumping from the pole to the feeder and such, but he has no trouble running on the ground or up trees ... or eating bird food. *glares* But, I kinda have a softie spot for him, I mean, *baby voice* look at him, he's so sad looking with out the normal, twitching, puffy squirrel tail. Don't you feel sorry for him, too? *wink*

Oh my goodness! I've seen a chipmunk with a bite taken out of his tail, but not a squirrel with no tail!
Our squirrels eat our bird seed too. *Grrrr* Catch 'em, Kitty, catch 'em! :-P

Oh my word!! One time we were trying to catch chipmunks with those sticky traps...well, we went out the next day and there was just a tail there. Then the next week we saw a tail-less chipmunk under the bird feeder!! Yowww, that would hurt!!:D

Oh, I DO feel sorry for him! Poor little guy! You are nice to feed him, albeit unintentionally. ;-)
