Buttons, Necklaces, and Earings

Today I decided I was going to organize my necklaces and earings. Organizing the earings involved buttons. :) I got the idea from Mrs. Wilt from The Sparrows Nest.

And of course there had to be music. :)

How clever! Are you going to do anything with the buttons now that they have the earrings in them, or do they just keep the earrings separated in a box?

Isn't it a neat idea? I would never have thought of it!!

As you can see I have just placed them in a dish on my dresser for now, but I had thought of maybe finding some wide ribbon I like and either sewing or gluing (or something) the buttons to the ribbon and stringing it up somewhere on the wall. But I'm not sure. For now they are in the dish. What would you do with them? I'm always open to ideas! :)

That IS a neat idea! A good way to not have to dig through and try to find the matching earing!

I loved this idea from the first time I saw it. It's so easy now to find matching earings. :)

Hmm...I'm not really sure what you could attach them to, where you'd still be able to get the earrings on and off of them. Maybe you could glue them like you said, to a ribbon...put the glue on the top edge of the button? But that might come off easily. The buttons with four holes could be pinned to a bulletin board or sewed to something, leaving the bottom holes free. I'm not sure what else you could do...maybe just leave them in the dish! :)

A bulletin board would be way cute! Thanks for your thoughts. :) It's always fun to get ideas from other people! Thank you!

Thank you!! And since it's been a while since I put them all on the buttons I can now say, from experience, that it works GREAT! I love having them all organized!
